If you work in an office that is normally business attire, host "Dress Down Friday. Employees pay  a fee for the chance to come in casual attire.

GARAGE SALE

Host a garage sale in your community or at your agency. Employees can donate items and help work the event. All proceeds can be donated to the charity of your choice.

Below are several examples of ways you can give on June 1-8. From giving a gift of reading, to volunteering an afternoon a local animal shelter, to hosting a community wide event, we want to encourage Trusted Choice Independent Insurance Agents to participate in some fashion.

SHRED EVENT

Have your agency sponsor a shred event for your community. Your agency pays for the shred truck. Anyone that brings items to shred can make a donation to the charity of your choosing.

Do Yardwork for the Elderly

Donate your time to helping clean up the yards of your neighbors who unable to do it themselves.

Clean-Up the Community

June is a perfect month to go around the community and help clean-up. Whether it's picking up trash or branches, your efforts won't go unnoticed.

Read to Children at the Library

Contact your local library to ask about setting up a reading session with kids.

Be a Collection Site
 

Try collecting items for the local animal shelter, women & children's shelter, Goodwill, Salvation Army, or collecting books at your agency.

Plant a Tree

Planting trees is one of the easiest and most sustainable ways to positively affect the environment.

Donate to Your Local Food Pantry

Food Pantry donations are always needed. Contact your local food pantry or bank and ask what items are needed. Peanut butter, canned tuna or chicken, nuts, snacks, condiments, baby needs, and hygiene products are all best bets when donating. These items won't cost you much, but will make a big difference to those in need.

Animal Shelters are always in need. You could walk the dogs, help clean the shelter, or donate food, litter, etc.

Host a car wash in your parking lot. Most kids will be out of school for the summer. Recruit them to help.
